Week Four!
Usually, around once a week, I have lunch at Einstein's with one of my friends. It's become almost a bit that when we go through the consecutive sets of doors to enter Siebel, one of us holds the first door for the first person, who holds the second door for the second person. Maybe you have to be there. Anyway, I don't really have anything particularly door-related to say about this habit. It's less out of convenience or kindness than it is kind of a running... habit? gag? between my friend and me. I wouldn't even be thinking about it right now if I hadn't remembered it at the last second as I was about to write a post about how I failed to hold a door this week. But now that I am thinking about it, I wonder how many everyday experiences are better when you do them with a friend. The right company can spice up even the act of entering a building.
Ok, before I sign off, I want to shout-out two blogs. First of all, congrats to Jack and his hockey team for winning their first game this season! Don't listen to the haters. Secondly, I am in love with Tracy's cat. Don't worry Fantuan, I think we all deserve a freebie for Thanksgiving week. And seriously, if anyone has cute pics of their pets (or any animal) they'd like to show me, I would appreciate it and I will love you forever. Bonus points if the animal can hold doors.
'Til next time!
Nice blog post. I feel like this is a pretty normal thing to occur. I tend to hold the next door if the first door was held for me. Also, I have seen it pretty commonly if I am holding the first door somewhere.
